The Art of Slow Birding

  • Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary 3499 South Bird Sanctuary Road Connersville, IN, 47331 United States (map)

Indiana Audubon Event, led in Connersville, IN by Michelle Morton

Join us on June 22 from 4 - 6 pm on the Trails at Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary, the perfect backdrop for a Slow Birding outing. Rather than a traditional "bird walk" where identifying and check-listing are elevated, this experience focuses on sensory observations in the present moment. Join Michelle Morton, a certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide, on Sunday June 22 at 4:00 p.m. for a gentle and intentional bird outing at the Sanctuary. Witness birds and explore how these observations feel in the body, heart, and mind through a series of observation explorations, meditations, and/or journaling.

Meet at the large shelter near the parking lot. Expect a variety of trail conditions, and some moderate terrain on each 2-3 hour adventure.

For questions or to learn more, email Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary at mgbs@indianaaudubon.org.
